Sie umfasst Musikhandschriften, Musikdrucke, Gedichtautographen, ettliche Notiz- und Tagebücher sowie Briefe von und an Peter Cornelius und Korrespondenzen der Familienmitglieder.§Der vorliegende Band vereinigt bisher unbekannte Briefe und Tagebuchaufzeichnungen aus dem Zeitraum von 1831 bis 1859, ergänzt durch einige Einzelbriefe, die an den unterschiedlichsten Orten abegdruckt, daher weitgehend unbekannt geblieben sind.
