Cogeneration is an alternative, highly energy-efficient system that enables a significant reduction in the energy costs of consumers, without altering their energy demand. Cogeneration is defined as the simultaneous production of two or more types of energy. Usually the energy generated is electricity and heat, but it can also be mechanical energy and heat (and/or cooling).
