Dieser Verlegenheit suchen andere zu entgehen, indem sie den Philosophen als "Dualisten" cartesischer Art interpretieren. Gegenüber solchen in zahllosen Spezialuntersuchungen vertretenen Forschungsthesen wagt das vorliegende Buch eine neue Gesamtdeutung der Aristotelischen Psychologie und zeigt, daß Aristoteles weder Materialist noch Funktionalist noch Dualist ist, sondern die Seele als schöpferische funktionale Form des Leibes versteht.
