Mathematik als Kulturtechnik soll allen Schülern vermittelt werden. Im Spannungsdreieck aus Leistungsproblematik, pädagogischer Diagnostik und kompensatorischer Erziehung wird gefragt, ob die Forderungen der seit der Reform des Mathematikunterrichts neu herausgegebenen Lehrpläne erfüllt werden können. Die empirische Validierung des Lehrplans anhand einer Querschnittuntersuchung mit einem norm- und kriteriumbezogen auszuwertenden Test wird in Beziehung gesetzt zu Umfelddaten, die Lehrer-, Schüler- und schulorganisatorische Variablen umfassen.
