This dissertation entitled, "An Isolated Murderer: Exploring the Character of Meursault in The Stranger", analyses the various themes dealt with in The Stranger by Albert Camus. The fourth chapter, Isolation from Self' presents the protagonist as a detached character from the society, family and from himself, as he does not go by the set rules of the societal folks. Finally in the Conclusion', the style, narrative techniques, conflict of the work and also a short paragraph on the dissertation as a whole have been included.
