El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue sintetizar materiales de sílice ordenada SBA-15, mediante técnicas de sol-gel y un copolímero tribloque. Modificar su superficie mediante un silano del tipo APTES y obtener, mediante reacciones químicas, porfirinas amino sustituídas de Ni (II) para poder injertarlas covalentemente a través de un puente orgánico anhídrido sucinico (AHS) a la sílice SBA-15 aminopropilada para producir un material híbrido con propiedades catalíticas.
