Im ersten Teil der Monographie wird das Verhältnis von Musik und Sprache innerhalb der Musikwissenschaft und Linguistik kursorisch dargestellt, ehe im zweiten Teil eine Analyse des Metaphernaufkommens innerhalb eines Corpus von Konzertprogrammen dargelegt und diskutiert wird.
