With over 400 sculptures, this volume documents the entire plastic work of a major protagonist of contemporary art. Alongside painting, sculpture is a fundamental part of the work of Paladino, who is considered one of the most well-known representatives of the Transavanguardia. Theorized in 1980, this movement immediately stood out as one of the most significant tendencies of Post-modernism, challenging the artistic experimentalism of previous decades and advocating a return to more traditional expressive practices. The catalogue is divided into sections: individual sculptures, installations, relationship between sculpture and architecture, and project work in urban spaces. The research and documentation for all the works are by Enzo Di Martino, who is also the author of the historical-critical essay in the volume. The preface is written by Friedhelm Mennekes, the well-known German art historian.
