Kolo Moser was one of the most important universal artists in Vienna at the turn of the century and is considered to be one of the leading representatives of the art nouveau style. His oeuvre includes painting, graphics, and crafts, including fashion, lamp, as well as furniture design, stage decoration, stained glass windows, book illustrations, and even banknote design. He was a member of the Vienna Secession and, in 1903, together with architect Josef Hoffmann and the industrialist Fritz Wärndorfer, he founded the famous Wiener Werkstätte, the objective of which was to renew the meaning of art in the field of arts and crafts. About 400 objects, presented systematically and explained with essays, open a new perspective on this impressive oeuvre, and the book is an invitation to rediscover them.
