Im erstgenannten Werk beschäftigt mich Eichendorffs Kritik des Philistertums. In seiner zweiten Novelle interessieren mich die Darstellung der Französischen Revolution und seine gegen die Revolution gerichteten Meinungen, die er meistens versteckt äußert. Die beiden Novellen werden unter dem Aspekt des Märchenhaften, als ein typisches Merkmal der Romantik untersucht.
