Die zunehmende Alterung der Gesellschaft erfordert deshalb ein differenziertes Spektrum von präventiven interdisziplinären Interventionsmaßnahmen. Die vorliegende Arbeit entwirft ein erweitertes Konzept für geriatrische Prävention, das die monodisziplinären Beschränkungen und die vorherrschende defizitorientierte Sichtweise zu überwinden versucht und Perspektiven und Ansatzpunkte anderer Disziplinen in geriatrisches Handeln einbezieht.
