Ectogenesis refers to the artificial gestation of a fetus outside the womb, beginning either from conception or soon afterwards, and continuing until viability. Despite certain advantages for women's reproductive liberty, feminist groups remain divided regarding the desirability of current and future assisted reproductive technologies, including ectogenesis.
