Diese Dissertation behandelt die Entwicklung eines zweiachsigen vakuum-gekapselten MEMS-Spiegels für den Einsatz in kompakten Laser-Projektions-Displays. Diese Miniatur-Laser-Projektoren sind u.a. von Bedeutung für Head-Up-Displays, Armaturenbrett-Displays und neuartige Scheinwerfer-Systeme im Automobil. Darüber hinaus eignen sie sich durch ihre geringe Baugröße für die Integration in Konsumer-Produkte wie Smartphones, Tabletts, Datenbrillen und Digitalkameras. Mit einer Scanfrequenz von über 36 kHz ermöglichen die im Rahmen dieser Arbeit entwickelten hermetisch gekapselten 2D-MEMS-Spiegel Laser-Video-Projektion mit HD720 Auflösung. Die MEMS-Spiegel werden kostengünstig zu hunderten parallel auf 200 mm Wafern aus Silizium gefertigt und zeichnen sich neben ihrer extrem geringen Baugröße durch eine sehr geringe Leistungsaufnahme aus.
