Die formative Leistungserfassung stellt ein wesentliches Element schulischer Prävention von Rechenschwierigkeiten dar. Als besonders innovativ und nachweislich wirksam zur Steigerung von schulischen Leistungen haben sich die in der US-amerikanischen Literatur beschriebenen curriculum-based measurements bzw. Curriculumbasierten Messverfahren (CBM) erwiesen und sind daher in den Fokus der Forschung in Deutschland gerückt. Die vorliegende Studie stellt den Konzeptions- und Evaluationsprozess von Verfahren zur Lernfortschrittsdokumentation nach diesem Ansatz differenziert, am Beispiel des Anfangsunterrichts Mathematik in der Grundschule dar.
