Cold rolling process was selected to study the effect of the different reduction ratios on the mechanical properties and the residual stresses (measured using the X-ray diffraction techniques (XRD)) state in aluminum alloy (2024). Computer simulation was carried out to investigate the residual stresses behavior and to determine the maximum reduction ratio of AA 2024.
