Die Herangehensweise dabei ist eine funktional-pragmatische, d. h. es wird analysiert, wie das grammatische Inventar der jiddischen Sprache in der Diskursart Erzählen ein- bzw. umgesetzt wird. Besondere Berücksichtigung finden dabei Strukturen wie das Tempussystem, komplexe Sätze und Wortstellung des Jiddischen.
