Es stammte aus handschriftlichen Sammlungen aus dem deutschen Mittelalter, die Uhland mit Anmerkungen und einer ausführlichen Abhandlung ergänzte.§Das vorliegende Werk ist der erste Band und enthält die gesammelten Volkslieder.§Nachdruck der Originalausgabe aus dem Jahre 1893.
